Sunriver - The Year Round Resort
Located in the Heart of Central Oregon, Sunriver is the Pacific
Northwest's finest resort community. At an elevation of
approximately 4,200 ft., We are surrounded by the Deschutes
National Forest and is bordered by 8 1/2 miles of the Deschutes
River. We enjoy our dry climate here in the high desert, with
270 days of sunshine, who wouldn't love sunny days, low
humidity, and cool nights. Sunriver is a 3,340 acre resort and
residential recreation orientated community located 15 miles
south of Bend. Our community has 3000 homes and 1000
condominiums, plus approximately 200 lots which have not been
built. Over 2000 people make Sunriver their full-time
residences, while hundreds of other families spend up to
several months each year in their second home.
Sunriver Has something for everyone! Recreation facilities
include two 18 holes golf courses, 29 tennis courts, 33 miles
of paved bike paths, swimming pools, stables, an ice rink in
the winter months, a marina, nature center, 2 private health
clubs/recreation centers, and much, much more. Mt bachelor
offers some of the best downhill skiing to be found in North
America and there is an abundance of cross-country skiing
trails nearby. The Big Deschutes and other nearby rivers offer
an array of white water rafting trips as well as world class
fly-fishing. There are a number of sightseeing opportunities.
For instance, the Famous Cascade Lakes Highway is in close
proximity and is one of the most scenic drives in the Western
United States.
The Sunriver Village has shopping of all sorts and many
different kinds of restaurants. We have our own fire and police
departments, as well as all of our own utilities including
electric, gas, telephone and TV.
